John will introduce us to Ely-Caerau Communities First Partnership and to an innovative approach to community engagement and a new initiative to connect communities. ACE was established in 2011 and is a trust which will host the new CF Futures programme, and provide Ely and Caerau with its ‘own’ organisation: located in the community, for the community, and run by the community.
Acces3Ability CIC is the architect and motivating force behind Patchwork Circles and Patchwork Shares. It is a Social Enterprise meeting social need through innovative projects that bring together different parties engaged in socially compatible activities. Colette and David will be talking about two exciting new projects - DanceAbility is a project that uses timebanking to provide access to a fun form of exercise in the community that builds confidence, self-esteem, supports health and encourages social inclusion for vulnerable groups. Hour Exchange Solutions is a new service developed by Acces3Ability which offers a supporting infrastructure to organisations who want to develop coproductive solutions to the barriers they are experiencing in delivering citizen centred services.

This event will be delivered through the medium of English, if you require Welsh translation please contact us on info@patchworkcircles.com by Tuesday 6th November
Comment by Ruth Dineen on September 8, 2012 at 18:15 Hi Heledd
Welcome to the group! Two good options to start making connections are the All in this Together: co-producing resilient communities event in Cardiff on September 28th at the Park Inn, and the Wales Network meeting on 4th October in Swansea. Or you could head up to Rhyl for Patchwork Circles event - the North Wales Network group. So much choice! Hope to see you at one or all of the meetings.
Cheers
Ruth
Hello. I have just joined the network and look forward to being part of the group. I am co-ordinating a new organisation to organisation timebank in Carmarthenshire. The project is being led by Menter Gorllewin Sir Gâr with suport from Spice. I've been in post for a month and we are in the very early stages of development, but the potential is very exciting. I would be interested in making links with other members.
