Co-Production Practitioners Network East Midlands

Hi, my name is James O'Flynn and I work in Market Development for Leicestershire County Council. Co-Production is part of my remit, as is timebanking, which I am in the process of setting up in Leicestershire.I would be very interested in hearing from other individuals and organisations in the area who would like to meet a few times a year. For me a network would be useful in terms of finding out about what is occurring locally, exchanging ideas about best practice, and learning about new…See More

Community Catalysts

health, social care & supported housing
Background to your work
I have recently starting working with Leicestershire as Project Coordinator for an Innovation Challenge programme aimed at the supported housing sector - this includes a wide mix from homeless hostels, refuges, supported lodgings for 16- 25 years, to sheltered housing and extra care.

Providers can bid for bursaries to develop an innovative idea or project but must evidence how they will co produce with people who use their services.

We plan to set up an Innovation network locally so we can share good ideas that develop along the way.

I would be interested to hear from anyone working with this sector on co production and some good practice examples would be a great stimulus and inspiration. Also any tools and techniques for kick starting co productive ways of working.

Thanks

A belated hello and welcome to the co-production practitioners network Helen, thanks for joining us!

The practitioners network is supported by nef but all content is developed by members, for members. Do have a good look around and get involved.

Some of the following areas are good starting points;

Network groups – based loosely around geographical regions or interest themes, they also host face to face meetings. If you don’t find something for your area or interest then please set up a new group.

Resources and Videos will give you access to the latest documents supporting co-production and bring you face to face with those putting it into practice. I'm a great fan of Community Catalysts and I'm sure other network members would be really interested to learn more about your work. Please add your own materials to increase the knowledge base.

The Blog carries the latest news, debate and opportunities for co-production practitioners. See what’s going on, post requests for help, add in your own comments or start a new thread.

nef is currently working on topics raised by network members: gathering the evidence base for co-production; developing practical approaches to commission co-production; delivering presentations and workshops for people who are interested in co-production. Get in touch if you want to know more or contribute.

It would really help to know how you heard about the network and what inspired you to join. Please let me know at lucie.stephens@neweconomics.org that way we can make sure we’re reaching as many co-production practitioners as possible. Also, please share the details of the network with colleagues or contacts you think would be interested.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Lucie

Head of Co-production, nef
