south Wales Commissioning Masterclasses

Thanks to Julia for a stunning two days - rigorous evidence, in-depth experience, really useful theory and a great range of practical methods, tools and techniques. Attendees came from Welsh Government, WCVA, Big Lottery, local authorities and third sector organisations and somehow Julia managed to make it relevant for all of us. Inspirational stuff...If you have an opportunity to attend these sessions, grab it with both hands and both feet!See More

nef's Co-production Masterclasses are awesome! Official.

25 of us from LAs, Welsh Government, community and third sector have spent the day learning about commissioning for co-production: superb, evidence-based presentations from Julia (nef) and from the splendid Penni and Kate from Cornwall Council who drove all the way to Wales to share their experiences. A knockout day, jam-packed with useful stuff and interesting discussions. And more tomorrow. Ah joy!If you are involved in the commissioning world and get the chance to attend one of these…See More

"Great idea - I'll wait for the N Wales event. Send me the short survey though. The sessions should use your published case studies as a start point, perhaps a pre-event mapping of what we already have? The biggest asset is the amount of money…"

Co-production Asset Map for Wales – please help us create it!

You are invited to join WCVA and Co-production Wales in creating an asset map of co-production in Wales on Tuesday 22 July 2014 at WCVA, Baltic House, Cardiff CF10 5FH. 10.00am – 1.00pm. Our aim is to begin to find out who and what's out there and to create opportunities for greater collaboration and networking. We know that you have a mass of knowledge and experience - about co-production theory and practice, about barriers, challenges, and, hopefully, some solutions. You might be able to…See More

If you are within sight of a glass of wine, a custard slice and/or a party hat I suggest you throw a small celebration because:

a) the Wales Group now has 150 members (hello Rosa!); b) it looks very (very) (VERY) likely that Cahnist co-production principles will be written in to the regulations and code of practice of our new Social Services and Well-being Act AND embedded in commissioning requirements; c) nef's Commissioning for Co-production Masterclasses are coming to Wales with 11 LA commissioners signed up, a clutch of senior Welsh Government radicals, leading lights from third-sector organisations and Big…See More
